Vision Point Capital’s New Hire Announcement
Vision Point Capital is pleased to welcome its newest team member, Justin Pate, to its growing staff. Justin earned his master’s at the University of Tampa and was highly recommended by his professors and started as an intern that has now turned into a full-time position.
The CEO/Founder, Will Rodriguez, responded “Vision Point Capital is thrilled about welcoming Justin as a full-time employee. Justin interned with us over the spring/summer and was a quick learner, dependable team member, and overall great fit with our culture. So, when the opportunity came for us to offer him a full-time position, it was a no-brainer. Even during the Covid-19 pandemic that disrupted our traditional work/training program, Justin was able to quickly adapt and not miss a beat. We are excited about having him join our team and look forward to great things from him in the future as we continue on our mission to serve business owners in transition.”
About Justin Pate
Justin’s fierce passion for finance and economics began as a teenager when he began investing for himself. He carried that passion through his undergraduate program at Columbus State University, earning a Bachelor of Science with a major in finance and a minor in economics. During this time, he traveled to New York for the GAME Forum hosted by Quinnipiac University. Justin’s fervor for the industry continued into his graduate program where he earned a Master of Science in finance at the University of Tampa. While in attendance, he and four of his colleagues were among the top three finalists at the 2019 ACG Cup, an M&A competition. Justin also had the opportunity to intern with the Florida Venture Forum, a nonprofit organization that creates growth in the venture capital space. Along with his colleagues at the Florida Venture Forum, Justin published the 2020 Florida Venture Capital Yearbook. Justin was also a keynote speaker at the 2019 State of the Tampa Bay Entrepreneurial Ecosystem, alongside Jeff Vinik and Rebecca White. While pursuing his academic goals, Justin sharpened his skills in financial modeling, investment analysis, and advanced portfolio management. Additionally, he placed a specialized focus on investment banking analysis, including various valuation methods.
